Classically trained on viola, Alison graduated from the University of Louisville with her bachelors in viola performance. Since then, Alison has enjoyed playing with many musicians, the Louisville Civic Orchestra and teaching private music lessons for violin, viola and piano. Some of her greatest moments include playing in Carnegie Hall and premiering a world-class ballet performance with the UofL Symphony Orchestra. In 2011, she started Louisville Strings, providing acoustic string ensembles for weddings and events. Then in January of 2013, she met Zara, who had started working on this amazing idea to start an electric string trio… they connected instantly and have worked together since, to form what is now Electria! For Alison, music is a passion, a way of life, and most importantly, an experience to be shared and enjoyed with others. Alison is a native of Louisville, where she resides with her son and family.
